Day Care Daze

O had an eventful week last week! She worked on her gymnastics skills by attempting to somersault off the new countertops. Luckily, she was caught gracefully by her mother. She will probably be on floor exercises for a while after this episode. She also started to eat fruit puffs at day care last week. Seeing this on her info sheet, her intelligent mom decided to give her some Cheerios. Unfortunately, they don't go down as easily. She still fights a reflex that makes her gag thick solid foods up. I think the puffs dissolve pretty quickly so she enjoys them. Guess I am going to have to cave and get her some. She also supposedly got into a face pulling match at day care on Friday. She tried to bite one kid's cheek and the kid retaliated by grabbing her cheek. I think she was just trying to give him kisses, she's just an affectionate girl. And now, I think we are going to say she's officially crawling! Not very far at once but she moves several "steps" forwards. We are getting close to graduating to 18 month clothes too. Goodness, I hope she slows down when she starts moving!

We're still working on unpacking boxes. We are hoping to get that finished up in the next week. Then we can get things a little more organized. Can't wait to use the new vacuum! Woohoo!

Moving!

How many things can one cram into a month? Since tax season got over, we've bought a house, practically sold a house, studied for the exam, and now we are finally getting ready to move! Thank goodness Memorial day weekend is 3 days because I know we'll need all of them (plus more) to get it all done. The new house is getting painted right now and I am anxious to go check out the work, but no time.

Olivia can tell things are a-changing. She sits on the floor and crackles the packing paper (okay, really she eats it but hey, whatever keeps her busy) while we pack up boxes. She's been pretty fussy lately and has gotten to the "reaching for Mommy" stage. Hmm, does she ever reach for Daddy? He'll have to tell ya that! I don't know if she's hit the separation anxiety stage yet but she tends to fuss when we leave the room. Can't wait to see what she does when we leave her with the grandparents when we go out to San Francisco next week. I am sure she'll do fine. . .

The newest DiSandro!

So this is a pic from my sister's baby shower last month but I'm notoriously late at getting things done. Beniah arrived this evening only a day after his due date. Of course, he weighed in at a whopping 9 lbs. 12 oz. !! That's really all the details I've learned so far but will hopefully get to see some pictures soon of the beautiful baby boy. Also pictures is my lovely niece Guinevere sporting her new cute hairstyle.

6 Month Checkup

Things hopefully will be slowing down for us in another couple of months. Tax season is over now, but we closed on a house in Murray today so we'll be moving in a couple of months.

Olivia had her 6 mo. checkup on Friday. She topped the scales at 21 lbs and was 27 inches long. I think weight was in the >95% and height in 90%. Do they really have to put the > on there? Do they not think she is self conscious enough? Nothing much new that she gets to start on but water in a sippy cup. So far, she's not too keen on it. She is sitting up well and loves to stand up with help. She's such a happy baby, always smiling. Well, except for the past week. She has started cutting teeth so she hasn't been in the best of moods. The doc thinks both top and bottom are swollen so we might get 4 before she's done with this round! So far, only one on the bottom has peeked through.

I'll try to get some pics up soon of O in her Easter dress. She got a pair of sunglasses on our first shopping trip this past weekend that she's super excited about as well!

More eating...

When you have a baby as big as Olivia, food and eating tend to be the main subjects. So, here's more of her being a good eater.

Food at last!

Well, things are crazy for the Bogles right now. Joe Ben has been traveling to trade shows and has been gone part of each week for the last month. Luckily, we get to keep him close for at least the next month. Monica is waist deep in tax season so poor Olivia doesn't get to see her parents much. She had her 4 month checkup a few weeks ago and weighed in at 17 lb 7 oz. She is still in the greater than the 95th percentile. She got the go ahead for solid foods so we've been trying her on rice the last couple of weeks. Last night was the first night she gobbled it up though! We'll see if this makes an impact in her sleeping now. She's finished her breathing treatments and this week she had a fever, but I think now that the weather is warming up we will all be on the mend. Next up will be Benny's shower!
