San Francisco Trip Part 2

View from a cable car as we go up the hills. Walking was rough and should be reserved for return trips.

The Haze is Clearing

Now that Joe Ben and I are crawling out of our Twilight submersion the last couple of weeks, we will strive to keep our loved ones better updated. We've been keeping ourselves busy on the weekends visiting family and friends. Olivia has started talking up a storm (or just babbling because there's no actual words yet) and stands up on her own. No steps yet. We have 6 teeth and counting! We'll get some pictures made this coming weekend and Olivia will see her first football game of the 09 season too! Then it will be countdown to birthday numero uno! And Halloween, still not sure what she should be this year. I can't wait for the days when she can make that decision.

Lake fun

This picture was taken at Monica's office party out at the lake on 7/25. Olivia just had to try on a life jacket!

9 Mo Appt

Olivia had her 9 month appointment on Friday. She still has an ear infection and is teething so she is SUPER fun to be around. Hopefully, this round of antibiotics will beat the infection. She is 23 lbs 11 oz. and 27 3/4 in. long which puts her in the 95% for weight and 50-75% for height. Olivia is crawling all over the place (one of her favorite places to crawl is mommy and daddy's bed) and will pull up on anything she get her hands on. Of course, this gives her so many more things she can put in her mouth! Her 4th tooth is barely visible but she's working out the ones she's got. She'll put a fruit puff on her bottom teeth and crunch down on it.

Joe Ben and Monica are trying their best to keep up with little O. Monica is hitting the books hard for one last shot at passing her last section of the exam while JB picks up her slack babysitting. O is gettin lots of daddy time lately! Hopefully, we can put up pics from our San Francisco trip that we took at the end of May, lol.

And Olivia went "swimming" for the first time this weekend in Union City. She enjoyed floating and splashing around and didn't get burnt. She was laid back looking relaxed in a panda float.

Crawling on the 4th of July!

Olivia has started zipping around even faster than this in the past couple of days. It seems that as soon as we set her down she moves!

Gyro Cravings

So I've been craving a gyro lately and since I found pita pockets on sale the other day, I decided to try my hand at them. Sorry, no lamb, but the chicken was awesome! I definitely recommend getting the Greek yogurt if you can find it. If not, try to strain plain yogurt through a cheesecloth. I couldn't find the Greek and didn't have cheesecloth so my sauce was a little runny but they were still de-lish!

Here's the recipe I used:
